Valley Powdercoat is now chroming plastic, metal, glass, fiberglass and ceramic through the process of vacuum plating, also known as vacuum metalizing.
Parts are pre-treated and metals are vaporized in a vacuum chamber which then condenses and bonds to a properly pre-treated substrate to form a uniform layer more reflective than chrome. Once the metal has solidified, a protective transparent topcoat is applied. This final coat can be high or low gloss crystal clear or shaded in gold, bronze, copper, or gunmetal.
Vacuum plating is a much more environmentally friendly and cost effective alternative to chrome plating and chrome painting.
This coating is ideal for the automotive industry, lighting reflectivity, the movie industry and much more!
