Project Metal Works
Founded in 2017, Project Metal Works Inc. is quickly growing into one of the top metal fabricators in the Fraser Valley for punched, formed or fabricated parts and components. Offering top quality products, fast turn-around times and competitive pricing to our customers, people are quickly discovering that when it comes to transforming ideas into finished products, Project Metal Works is the place to go. Our 5,000 square foot shop, conveniently located just minutes from Valley Powdercoat and Highway 1, is home to modern CNC technology to help get things done to our customer’s specifications on time and on budget.
For simple designs and concepts, metal up to 1/8” can be sheared to size before bending. This is a more cost-effective option to punching or plasma/laser cutting for things like angle iron, racking or bracketry.
We are currently equipped with two 8’ Accurpress press breaks with CNC back gauges for excellent forming accuracy.
Our Finn Power CNC Turret punch can punch up to 10 Gauge (1/8”) steel, in up to 4’ x 10’ sheets.
Our newest addition Amada FOM2 3015NT CNC Laser can cut mild steel up to 7/8” thick, stainless steel up to ½” thick and aluminum up to 3/8” thick. Maximum sheet size is 5’ x 10’.
If parts or components need to be welded, we have MIG and TIG welders, as well as spot welders and pem stud welding capabilities.
We have manual and vibratory deburring options, for parts that need to have smooth or exposed edges or a specific finish requirement.
We can create product or component files for fabrication or for publishing your designs. We use Autodesk 2D and Solidworks 3D modelling and drawing software to make your concepts a reality.
Our software uses DXF or DWG files, as well as STEP 3D model files. Other file types can be converted if required, or drawings can be created from sketches or concepts for an additional charge.
